All The Ruffles💃

Almost every fashion trend is an evolution of a different time period of dressing. Ruffles are no different. During the 1930’s flamenco costumes used ruffles on their dresses because it added to their dancing. Throughout several decades ruffles came and went in various ways. On the runway ruffles can now be spotted at both ends of the spectrum, from minimalist styles to extravagant dresses.

In this image I’ve incorporated ruffles almost everywhere. On my black top there are a few ruffles on the sleeves which I paired with a printed ruffled skirt and black flats. This outfit can definitely take ruffles from day to night.

My Look:

Black ruffled top – Quirky Circus

Ruffled printed skirt – Scotch & Soda

Black ballerina flats – Topshop

Necklace – Stella & Dot

Matchy-Matchy 🎀

A stylish two piece set is definitely an essential to any wardrobe. It makes getting dressed that much easier. This season coordinating sets can be found in every type of style. Many designers such as Carolina Herrera have done a more formal take on the trend. However, stores like Forever 21 have sets that are casual and perfect for everyday streetwear.

Florals ❁

Floral printed clothing is definitely a summer staple. The floral motif exudes femininity and youthfulness. Many years ago people decided to put flowers on clothing for different types of symbolism. Now, on the runway you can find them printed on long billowy dresses or embellished onto structured jackets.

Off The Shoulder ☀

Times haven’t changed. The off the shoulder dresses have been mimicked since the early 1800’s. The sleeveless dresses had shoulder straps or ribbons tied over the shoulder. The off the shoulder trend can now be seen in both romantic dresses and flowy tops, often paired with boyfriend jeans.
